远离练靶场

Based on a play by V. Slatkin. An unemployed American gets a job in a shooting gallery as a live target; the greedy capitalist owner charges patrons double for the chance to hoot at a human being. Tarasov, a fan of J.D. Salinger’s “The Catcher in the Rye,” modeled the film’s hero on Holden Caulfield. An artist as well as an animation director, Tarasov combed through back issues of “America,” a magazine published by the U.S. government during the Cold War, and American comic books, to lovingly create the film’s fabulous New York City back drop. The attention to detail is amazing (and sometimes off base), from the graffiti on the buildings to the brand name on the back of the hero’s tennis shoes.

Ubu et la grande Gidouille

An extraordinary cut-out-and-move adaptation of all three of Jarry’s Ubu plays. The characters are caricatured almost to abstraction- in the opening scene Ma Ubu is even depicted as a bug, Pa Ubu has a massive jaw and a microcephalic brain case.

梦幻玩偶

Actually this film is not entirely original, it is a parody based on the great French short film "Le Ballon Rouge" (The Red Balloon - 1956). Saw this tonight as part of a short film program at a The Chauvel Cinema in Sydney. Dream Doll was Oscar nominated in the Animation category. If anyone ever reads these reviews, I would strongly recommend you source both the films to make your own comparison. My preference is still far and away with the Le Ballon Rouge - this won the Grand Prize at Cannes and the Academy Award for Best Short Film in 1957. A good film to accompany Dream Doll is another Bob Godfrey Oscar nominated animated short film: Kama Sutra Rides Again. This was also on the program tonight.

打猎

This is not good for Consolidated Dragon's profitability. Oh! but they forgot about wind power! Great way to look at our society and its materialistic way of life. Made in 1978 but still of its time.

      根据日本童话改编。能织出精美织物的女鹤，被人的贪欲而摧毁。这是一个关于金钱、权力的致命力量的童话。       面向全年龄层的观众。

犯规

这部作品非常奇特，起初映入眼帘的是足球运动员们在绿茵场上的角逐，随着足球的左来右去，观众的视点也不断随其变换。可是突然间，球员从地上捡起了球，原先的足球比赛顿时变成一场篮球比赛。队员们依旧激烈地你争我抢，可是在即将投篮的关键时刻，裁判的哨子吹响，比赛又回归成了足球比赛。但一会儿足球赛又变成了冰球比赛，一会儿又变回了足球比赛。最终，足球运动员们由于争抢足球而互相厮打起来，而此时足球自动滚了起来，像高尔夫球那样落入洞中，影片结束。

赤鬼与青鬼的探戈

『みんなのうた』のアニメーション制作はひこねのりお。アニメーションに登場するキャラクターは、赤鬼・青鬼・ウサギのみ。7羽の白いウサギによるヴァイオリンの演奏と女声コーラスを交えて赤鬼と青鬼が山の中の広場でタンゴを踊る。2人の鬼の踊りと、その合間にヴァイオリン演奏やコーラスをするウサギたちがユーモラスに描かれている。 1984年12月には、ステレオ音源版も登場している。 『みんなのうた』のほか、同じくNHKの番組『おかあさんといっしょ』でも放送された。こちらの番組のアニメーションは、西内としおが制作したものになっている。 2011年4月23日、『みんなのうた・スペシャル 1970'sセレクション』でも放送された。こちらでは1977年版が放送された。その後、2011年12月から2012年1月にも1977年版が再放送され、1978年以来、33年ぶりの再放送となった。

串珠游戏

I was absolutely floored for the six minutes that I spent viewing "The Bead Game". Using nothing more than cheap decorative beads, we are given a short history on the development of the animal side of nature. The end of "The Bead Game" was powerful statement on how animalistic and brutal humans are toward one another. In the twenty-five years since this short film was made, humans have advanced their intelligence in the areas of weaponry, brutality, and violence. It seems the most obvious and significant advance has been the marketing of mass media that seems to glorify violence. "The Bead Game" stands a sort of a testament and a warning that humanity is on a doomed path if we continue forth in the areas of war and destruction. I give this animated masterpiece a 10 out of 10! 　　PS: There are laws of war and revolution. One is the law of unintented consequences. You have to bevery careful when you come upon a proverbial Pandora's Box. Once you choose that open that box, you don't completely expect every aftershock that will be wrought from it and it will take a very long time to overcome them
