字母表

大卫·林奇早年的短片《字母》中，有这样一景：一个大字英文字母“A"在血泊中生出一个小“a”。之后《祖母》中有关生的意象，则是从植物中蜕化出来。林奇对生、死意念十分执着，导致他几乎每一部影片中都有生与死的场景，而且林奇对“生”的描述总是负面的:黑暗、丑陋、邪恶、地狱般的景象;对“死”则形容得光明、尽善尽美，宛若天堂一般.

Pirouette

这部动画是已知的乔治·史威兹贝尔(Georges Schwizgebel)最早制作的动画，这部片子后来加入到了短片合集动画《PATCHWORK》中，并在1971年第24届戛纳电影节主竞赛单元中获得短片金棕榈奖提名。

迷宫

《迷宫》是法国抽象动画大师比欧特·康勒（Piotr Kamler）制作于1969年的一部作品，康勒1936年出生于波兰华沙，受教于巴黎艺术学院，是当代法国最重要的实验动画制作家和超现实主义装饰设计大师之一，他的作品一向以抽象化的影像和极度概念化的主题而闻名，曾经两次获得法国安锡国际动画电影节最佳原创动画奖，而《迷宫》则堪称是其所有作品中最复杂难懂的一部。配乐由伯纳德·帕尔梅贾尼创作。

Bongo Rock

The Japanese version of the 1968 '44 Gatti,' an Italian song from the TV program Zecchino D'Oro. It was introduced in the Japanese NHK TV program 'Minna no Uta' in 1969.

Cheburashka arrives in Moscow in a crate of oranges. He cannot find his place, he can't even exhibited at the City Zoo because he is unknown for science. He makes friendship with a lonely crocodile, a girl and a dog. Together they start to build a "house for friends" because there's a lot of lonely people and animals are living in Moscow. Antigonist anarchist old lady Shapoklyap (Chapeau-Claque, named after her hat) tries to fail their attempts. Will she succeed?

Yamahiko, the younger brother, hunts in the mountains, and Umihiko, the older brother, fishes in the sea. One day, Yamahiko loses Umihiko’s precious fish hook. Yamahiko goes to a country at the bottom of the sea and somehow finds the hook. But when he returns, he finds his village in ruins.

Mouris says, “I shot another 100 foot roll on classmate Jerry Strawbridge’s home animation stand, and edited that into the best sequences from QUICK DREAM. The whole film was a tongue-in-cheek series of odd couples/couplings, which the title suggested. The FRANK FILM photo collage animation evolved here.” - Yale

Samadhi

Samadhi is both mystical and mysterious, an incredible fusion of movement, sound and colour. Belson notes the influence of his study and practice of Yoga and Tibetan Buddhism on the creation of Samadhi. The film is inspired by the principles of yogic meditation: the movement of consciousness towards samadhi (union of subject and object), the fusion of atma (breath and mind), a state which reveals the divine force of kundalini, a bright white light we discover at the end of Samadhi. The Tibetan Book of The Dead is the inspiration behind Belson’s use of colour in Samadhi, corresponding to descriptions of the elements of Earth, Fire, Air and Water in the book. —Sophie Pinchetti, The Third Eye
