Raw film material consists in part of gelatin, which is made of the skin and bones of animals, including horses. The traces of light that shape our audiovisual dreams are thus imprinted on parts of animal bodies. Through the subtle use of audio, this found-footage collage focuses on images of the horse as an attraction, an animal of burden, and a mythological creature. 　　"In 1900 there were 130,000 working horses in Manhattan. Produced for Glass Eye Pix as part of their 2018 Creepy Christmas Film Festival, in which each short is inspired by a holiday-themed word. This film, the fifteenth in the series, is inspired by the word “sleigh.”

Set in the Ardèche river Gorge (France), thirty-six thousand years ago, Traces follows a tribe as they prepare for a big hunt, with the return of the buffalo imminent. As Gwel prepares his group of hunters for the task ahead, Karou the Painter and his apprentice Lani travel to a great cavern, where they will capture the event in detailed wall drawings, believing that what they paint will influence the outcome of the hunt.

After constantly being rejected for not being taken seriously, the team tries to find an arch enemy to show them they are worthy of a movie. They find potential in the supervillain, Slade (Will Arnett).

《秋实》在制作上汲取了齐白石水墨技法神韵和8K技术，把“兼工带写”发挥到极致，尤其是“工笔虫草” 活灵活现，凸显出粗放见细微的艺术神韵，意境虚实结合，情节构思巧妙。视觉元素虽然都是“师法自然”， 但创造性的赋予灵魂，加上全球首部8K技术的创新，能够吸引评委也在情理之中。 该片讲述的是一只蝈蝈为秋后的蛰伏储藏足够的食物，在天敌的威胁、同伴的捉弄下，它颗粒无收，在绝境下，阴差阳错地收获了美味的食物。在表达上，影片使用情绪与节奏，在没有对白的情况下，通过虫与虫之间的较量，刻画出小虫的“生存法则”。 本片于2018年12月28日在北京举行首映，2020年入围第70届柏林国际电影节新生代竞赛单元。 简介来自于《中国电影报》2020年3月4日12版。
